Gma was doing much better tonight. She was sitting in her armchair when I got there, eating dinner (she didn't eat much, but I've been worried she wasn't eating anything. I'm glad to know that's not true). She's much more alert & 'with it', and we had a good, albeit generalized conversation.
There's one thing I'm a little concerned with though - she kept bringing up the things on her neck, and that she was having headaches all over her head/neck, and then she said, "I just don't know if this thing is ever going to get better". She said it several times, in fact. I have to wonder if either my ma didn't tell her about the cancer diagnosis (unlikely), or if she just doesn't remember what's going on. I'm certainly not going to be the one to tell her though, so I played along with her, like it was just a regular illness that's been hanging on. I can't really see any benefit to reminding her, anyway. She did mention once that she's "ready to be done", and I told her I understood (and I do).
Anyway, it was a good visit, much better than I expected after the condition I saw her in on Sunday. I think my ma will be back next week Tuesday or Wednesday, and I'm sure that will pick gma's spirits up a bit.
As for me, I got another weight workout in tonight. Hopefully I won;t be too sore to run tomorrow, then I can take the weekend off.
