Took the bike in Monday evening for its 1st 500 mile service, and to have them correct a few things. It's still stalling out on me occasionally, and the clutch switch seems to be broken. All being addressed at no cost, but I've had the bike back to the shop maybe 4-5 times since I got it. Not all for issues, though, had the heated seat installed one time.
I know these are minor things, but it seems like, for that kind of money, things would work correctly from the start. I don't blame the shop at all, they've been great about it. This is just how it goes with cycles sometimes, even new ones.
I should be getting it back tomorrow after work, and am going to go for another ride or two before I put it up for the winter. I'm not quite ready to ride it in the rain yet (don't want to clean it!), and even with the heated seat /grips, I'm not a fan of riding any distance in temps colder than 50°F/ 10°C, which is where we'll be by the end of the week.
Of course, I don't mind rain with the Honda, and as it's an in-town cycle now, I don't mind those temps so much either.
As an aside, I've noticed that the new cycle seems to fit me better, physically. Although it's taking a little getting used to it, I've noticed that I'm not as sore when I get off this one, like I am with the Honda. Back/right leg feel a lot better - I think this may be one more piece in the puzzle that is 'fixing my back issues'!
Oh, I also am getting a deal on some component pieces from the discussion board I found. Will write about them once they happen...
