Running is going well, wasn't nearly as tired tonight. I think it's helping that I haven't started lifting again yet. I was thinking about starting next week, but if I keep improving like I am now, I may push it out a bit further.
I lowered my programmable thermostat last night too; only by one degree, but it's now set for 67° when I'm home, 68° when I'm sleeping, and 59° from 5am to 5pm. - T-shirt, sweats & socks temps, but it's comfortable enough. I get home around 3p, then exercise, so I'm keeping it low until 5p. A little cold exposure can only help the metabolism, right? ;-)
I priced out insurance for the Volt today, and full coverage is more than $400 more (per 6 months). I can get adequate coverage for my needs, for around $100 more, which I think is reasonable, considering that car is 8 years newer than my current truck.Turns out I also forgot that the company had reimbursed me last week for sick time not used last year, so I added that and two checks I got for x-mas from my aunt & uncle (no matter how many times I tell them not to, they insist on sending a gift & card w/checks from Florida every year. I gave up trying to stop them).
Anyway, adding in those items to the cash I've been setting aside, I've got about $3700 ready to go. If my tax refund is at least as much as it was last year (I'm expecting more due to the new tax laws), I'll have all the money I need to buy it w/o taking anything from savings. I also found out that, the 'blue book' price on my truck is really low, and the market right now is supporting a sale price of almost $8000-8500, and some of those don't have all my options. If that stays true, there's no question, I'll sell the truck immediately. Not only would that cover the cost of the Volt, but it would pay for half of the vinyl siding! Trying not to get my hopes up too much, but I hope it all happens.
I've also noticed in the last couple weeks that I've been feeling a lot better, mentally. It's hard to tell what exactly has led to this reprieve from the almost constant darkness I was in; I started the W1m H0f stuff, 'Dry January', and the opportunity to talk with someone with whom I feel an inexplicable affinity...
...And it seems I've run out of things to say. Hope you're all doing well!
