On the plus side, my gma seemed to be in good spirits tonight for dinner & dessert afterwards. We all had a good time, even if one of our party is the loudest talker in the world. Honeslty, I'm surprised nobody complained to the manager. My sister said that one lady kept covering her ears & grimacing whenever he talked. (To be fair, this was a really nice restaurant, with an older, well-to-do clientele, and this guy, nice as he is, has no concept of "indoor voice". You could hear him clearly in a sports pub on game day!
Anyway, gma enjoyed her 99th b-day dinner, and got to open presents with her kid, grand-kids & great-grand-kids, so it was a successful night.
I, however, am exhausted. That was entirely too much socializing for me, especially with the strain of disapproving judgment from every other table.
