Hit a PR today at strongman. We were doing what (I think) are called Blocked deadlifts, or "rack pulls". Basically you set the plates on blocks so it's a little higher (sort of like this, and deadlift as usual (btw, in that pic, I think the guy's lifting 445#, if I counted right). I started at 200# for 8 reps, then 250# for 8, 300# for 6, 350 for 3 (twice), then I tried 400# and failed. The guys dropped it to 390# for me, and I tried again, and got it! I was so irritated about the 10# difference though (think Adr1an M0nk), that I told them to load it back up to for, and I went for it again - was a bit of a struggle, but I got it! Unfortunately, I didn't get a video, but I do have one of me walking 500# on the yoke 45ft to the other end of the barn, from a couplefew weeks ago. I still have to upload it to post, but I will soon.
Anyway, I was pretty excited about that - true it was higher than a normal dead, but how cool is 400#!? *grin*
