Remember that song I posted a while back? I think it was the 1st one in a big list of things I was listening to that night. Well, I found it on vinyl today, along with a bunch of old 70's groups; The Whispers, The Isley Bros, The Gap Band, Isaac Hayes, and (get this) The Monkees.
Got home, put that Balin record on, & proceeded to get all bummed out. Smart, I know. Played that fucking song four or five times in a row, then just had to leave. It gets to me that much, for some reason; just resonates, I guess? (Truthfully, I couldn't get CC out of my head while playing it...) Went for a ride on the cycle for about an hour, and am now home again. Grabbing a quick high-carb drink so I can go running in a few. Going to try to really knuckle down & stick with this routine for at least the next month. I have a [discussion board] "reunion" to attend near the end of August, and I want to be in a bit better shape (read: less of a fat-ass).
Haven't taken pics of the fireplace, or paver stones yet, but Stepfie, I'll post them as soon as I can, along with my "M4d M3n" get-up, once I upload everything. I can almost guarantee none of it will be impressive. In fact, I'm sure it will be rather anti-climactic. Hrmm... funny, I could say the same about my life, I suppose.
