Just signed back on with my old company a few minutes ago. I called my current (now old) employer & let him know, but also told him that I'd like to stay on with them, on an "as needed" part-time basis. Essentially, I'll be working my full-time job, and if the contract place has need of extra help, I can work a couplefew hours a night, or an occasional weekend. The only thing I told them was that I wanted to avoid burnout, so I could likely only do this for a couple weeks at a time, and it would of course depend on the amount of overtime required at my fullt-ime job. He was happy for me, that I finally found permanent work, and also was glad to hear I wanted to continue with them. So all in all, things are turning out pretty well on the job front. The only thing that worries me is that we have audits coming up soon, and it's going to me my responsibility to ensure everything is either up to date, or marked as "out of service". This calibration gig is a *huge* undertaking, especially considering that it hasn't been touched since before I left at the end of 2009! I know I can handle it, I just hope I have enough time to do so before we get audited.
