I was sitting here watching a movie, and got uncharacteristically tired - started falling asleep in my chair while watching it. Finally decided to lie down on the bed, where I fell asleep & eventually started dreaming.
I was having band practice upstairs, here, in my house. I'd taken some kind of medication, for fun, a little before (mixed into my dinner, or a drink, or some such!?), we hung out for a bit, and then the guys started playing. All of a sudden, the medication started to affect me - I couldn't stand up, I was completely dizzy. Every time I tried, I fell over, onto my left side, shoulder/face first into the floor, and I mean immediately! No matter how I tried, I couldn't stand due to the "dizziness". I tried to play my bass from the floor, reaching my arm over to pluck at the low string, in time with the music, thinking the guys wouldn't notice. Eventually they did, and became concerned, they started kind of fussing over me, asking if I was ok, etc. and I kept telling them "It's the medicine! I'll be fine in a few hours!". They kind of left me alone for a bit, and then I realized something. One thing about my dizziness was my eyes - neither would focus on the same thing; they were crooked, not only between in vs. out, but up vs. down. I tried an experiment to check them by closing my right eye & waving my hand a few inches in front of my left eye to check my vision. It never changed! There was no place I could put my hand that would block the lamp in front of me, as I'm still lying sideways on my face, on the floor. Then I closed my left & checked my right. The only place that would block it was right dead center, but only if I put it almost right on my eye. I checked this a few times, and each time I did was the same, aside from the fact that my focus was several feet off between eyes. Eventually, I discovered that the only way I could get around (like, from my living room to my bathroom) was to drag myself along the floor, flat on my stomach, using pretty much just my elbows, and it took me maybe 10 minutes to do it.
The dream drifted off into some other really weird shit, some of which included two former pets of mine being trapped in a room being flooded by an overflowing bathtub, but it's really not very important. What is important is this...
Remember the other day when I said I'd gotten the intense feeling that I was going to die within the next two years? This dream had "premonition" written all over it. My dad (by adoption, no family history that I know of) had an anneurism years ago, and (aside from the eye thing, which I have no way of knowing) he had pretty much the same symptoms. I think that this is what will be my end. anneurism/stroke, where nobody comes to find me, and I eventually die in my new house.
WTF!? Isn't that just... well, wtf!? Isn't that just an odd thing for me to dream? I'm kind of weirded out right now, which is why I had to post this. I'm going to make some dinner know...
p.s. BTW, I should mention that when I woke up, I was lying on that same side of my face that I kept falling on, for what it's worth.
