I ran a low-grade fever most of the afternoon yesterday (100°F or so), but by evening, I felt fine (never did get any head or chest congestion, no cough, etc). I didn't even start to get tired last night until almost 9p, which is when I went to bed. Slept well, but got a bit chilled a couple times during the night. Checked my ring data this morning, and while my sleep was fairly typical (in bed 9.25 hrs, actually slept 7.4), my resting heart rate & HRV were the best they've been in months, which means I'm fully recovered. In fact, my resting heart rate was the lowest it's been since I bought the ring. I hope that means the exercising & cold dips I've been doing have been helping?
The more I think about it, the more I wonder if I've been 'riding the edge' of 'exhaustion' recently (based on my ring data). I've actually had something like this happen a couple of times before, which I've written about, years ago. Anyway, I think the combination of being on the border of pushing myself too much, and that really bad back pain issue/lack of sleep night might have pushed me over the edge. It's a good lesson to learn, and I think I can apply that knowledge going forward, regarding how to plan my training during an off-month.
Nothing much else to say. I've again written to a few women on the dating sites, but received no replies. I wonder if I'm being too polite & am coming across like a fake account? I'd much rather get a 'rejection' than to wonder if they ever even saw my note...
