Obviously, the dealer told me the radio/nav unit wasn't working in this car, but what he neglected to tell me was that the last time they worked on it, the technician tried to install an incompatible model (from a 2012!), and when he couldn't get it to communicate, he just left the damned thing in the vehicle, so now I can't even have the original unit taken in for troubleshooting!
I'm going to see if WJC might be interested in buying this one as a back up unit, as they do tend to go bad occasionally. but really, what I'm aiming for is to get the dealer to give me back the original 'bad' unit. I mean, seriously, what the hell can I do with a completely invalid radio unit?
Really frustrating.
Oh, by the way, I replaced the touch screen today - didn't change anything, so it's obviously the radio. At least now I have a backup touch screen...
By the way, this isn't mine, but this is what it looks like (I'm not able to upload photos).
