Went to look at another house on Friday, this one looked great "on paper" - the pictures made it seem amazing, and I was really excited about it... until I got in to see it.
Realtor said you could tell the guy was an amateur DIY'er by the "repairs" done on the place, and he3 was right. A lot of things that, had they been done correctly, would have been nice, but as they were? Nope. And the deck, one of the big selling points for me? When He & I stepped out onto it from the bedroom slider, I thought we were going to fall through, or it was going to collapse. Way too much slope away from the house on the short areas, and the large area where the table was (see pictures) was actually sunk in the middle by up to 3 inches! The stairs were falling away on one side... anyway, even with the space & isolation (farm land behind) and the super awesome 20x24 foot detached garage (to go along with the attached 2-car), I was so turned off by it, they could've dropped the price 20% or more & I wouldn't have taken it. It was kind of a pipe dream anyway, because it was too expensive, but... Oh well.
I've seen a few others that were just ok, but even those were a bit too much for what they offered, so at this point I'm thinking it's unlikely I'm going to find anything i want in my price range. Oh, and I have to do FHA for my loan still, so I'm going to have to drop my price even more, because that requires a few thousand extra up-front for escrow. Between that & closing costs, I'll have to come up with around $6000 extra that won't even be going towards the house! Ugh.
Poor me, life is hard, WAAaahhh!! *rolleyes*
Oh and I went back to strongman training today... 1) I'm soo out of shape/weak, 2) I'm still wiped out. Going to try to keep going though, but I guess we'll see how it goes.
