Got a very light workout in yesterday, in preparation for the new plan, which starts Monday. Yesterday was squats, bench, rows & pull-downs; today will be deadlift and overhead barbell axle press. Monday, the plan is for Upper body on Mondays & Wednesdays, Lower on Tuesdays & Thursdays. Aside from possibly log press & a couple of axle lifts, I've planned no strongman events for the next three months, which is a bit disappointing, but likely necessary, as I tend to push myself too hard when I do those. Besides, starting in February, I have a 3 month plan laid out that's taken from an article called Off-Season Program Design for Strongman - I used what was written in the article to create an interactive spreadsheet. It has a lot of strongman events in it, so I don't mind waiting a few months.
I also started taking the gut-health supplement I've mentioned a few times. Received it on Friay, I think? Started taking it on the 1st, and it goes for 1 month, which is the minimum they say it takes for the live cultures to take hold/populate the gut. I'm curious/hopeful to see if this improves my overall health.
Conversation seems to be going well with the dating site gal so far. She seems patient/low-key & not putting on a front, and our messages so far have been pretty easy. I'm curious to see if she'll be interested in meeting at some point. I don't think either of us are in a rush for that, but I admit I'd like to talk with her in person, to see if there's any chemistry.
