Normally, I don't pay any attention to "Bl4ck Fr1day", but this year, I got a couple of promo emails that actually interested me. One was for a t-shirt company that I really like (40% off, no code needed) so I bought one shirt; it came to $27.
Other email was regarding the WHM that I've been doing. I've been wanting to buy one of their advanced video courses, but always felt it was too pricey. Well, they were having a 50% off sale, so i bought that too. Spent an hour or so going through it, but will have to reserve judgment for a while - it's a 10 week course, and you're made to wait a week for each segment to unlock (it's meant for you to take them in order without jumping ahead). I'm going to try to actually follow the directions and practice guides for a change to see how it goes.
I also had to spend money on winter tires for the 1st time in my life. The tires currently on the Volt have at least a few years' life left in them, but they did horribly in the dusting of snow we had this past week. I don't want to take a chance on not being able to get around (or worse, getting in an accident) simply to save some money. They were a little pricey, but there's a combined $155 rebate on them, and when I combine that with the money I don't have to spend on vehicle insurance (sold the SUV & just stored the new cycle) it's a wash.
The only things I've yet to buy are some new clothes, of which I desperately need new socks & maybe some sweats; I haven't bought either in... 3 years, I think? I really dislike clothes shopping.
