I went in to have my temporary crown replaced with the permanent one, but when I told them about how I still can't eat on that side (that tooth hurts to put any bite pressure on), they took an x-ray. It appears that the ligament connecting the tooth is inflamed. This is apparently caused by the way my tooth broke - the dentist had to grind it down so far it's now too close to the root, and I now have to have a root canal. To top it off, this tooth is apparently complex, and he had to refer me out to a specialist - I'm scheduled for the 15th at 7:45a.
I fucking hate root canals. I've only had one 9 years ago, but it was miserable. And expensive - even with my insurance, I'm still going to owe maybe $300-350 for that, plus whatever my balance is for the crown work that's being done by my dentist.
I had a lot more written here, but it was all whining, and who wants to see that? Better to remove it...
