So, regarding the last date I went on, I don't think it's going to go anywhere. There's no desire to continue on my end, and she's not putting any effort into contacting me, so I'll leave it at that.
Did I mention that I bought a water chiller for my cold tub? Found one that was a couple hundred dollars cheaper than the one I was originally looking at, so I picked it up. I think it was last weekend that I got it installed? Drained the tub & cleaned it, then put it back in the insulated box I built, refilled & readjusted the chemicals. I should be good to go all year around now, which will be nice! I hadn't been in it for a while, and it's been a bit difficult to get back into the habit, but so far it's going well - maybe 2-3 days per week at the moment. Not sure how often I'll end up doing it, just kind of going with the flow & doing it when the feeling strikes. Anyway, I'm happy to have that resolved now!
Also, I had my (final) consult with the original TRT clinic I'd started with. I don't want to go into detail, but long story short, the owner is a gaslighting narcissistic jerk who has no business being any any kind of healthcare-related field. I ended up hanging up on him after blowing my top & cussing him out (of which, I'm fairly embarrassed, but that guy really knew how to push my buttons). I have since had a consult with another clinic & been approved for a prescription, which I should receive within a week or so now. This is good timing, as I think that's about when my current vial will run out & I was concerned that I would end up missing a treatment. This new place is really laid-back & essentially seems to be allowing me to judge how my treatment is going, and relying less on the 'clinically-defined' blood work numbers. The cost is a bit higher, but the script is higher too, so I'm still pleased. I'm sure at some point, I'll be posting again about how I'm feeling, if anyone's interested.
Seems like there's more to write, but as I didn't make any notes last week, I'll have to wait until those topics come back to mind to address them...
Oh! I should mention that changing my workout routine from 5 days to 4 days per week seems to have done the trick! My ring data is showing a gradual but consistent improvement in my recovery, so I'm going to try to maintain this for a while. I might give it another week or two before I try to start adding the rowing back in on my off days, just to see if the trend will continue.
