I mentioned going out last Saturday, this will be relevant in a minute. Monday was my 1st day back to working out - I didn't do much, just some light rowing in the morning, then a *very* light weights workout. Was done by about 8am. Felt pretty good the rest of the day, so I went for a casual walk in the afternoon. Weather was nice.
Monday night, I started feeling a bit on nasal congestion and a tickle in my throat, and started to feel like I was developing a fever. Did another 10 rounds of WH breathing in bed, and I think that knocked out the fever, but the sinus congestion has lingered, so I've been taking OTC meds since Tuesday morning.
I'm really frustrated right now. I have to assume the reason I picked up an illness is from having gone out on Satuday night and having a few drinks (the two-days timing fits right), but I also wonder if the workouts had anything to do with it.It's been what, seven weeks now that I've been unable to get back into my normal lifting routine? Lower back injury for two weeks, re-injured lower & mid back when my right hip finally popped back into position after years, warranting a trip to urgent care. Finally feel better from that, and now? Illness.
At least I'm on vacation & won't miss any work days, but this really sucks. I want to work out, to be more fit, stronger, but it seems like every time I try to get back into it, something happens to prevent it. I could really use a win in that realm right now.
