Decided to take the cycle out for a bit this afternoon - I was out for at least an hour, and for the 1st time in ages, both my hip and my back felt fairly well while riding, and much better than normal after getting off the bike. I hesitate to say that maybe I've found a path towards fixing my ever-present back issues, but it really does seem like I have. Then again, this new-found health/feeling good also coincides with having started the pro-hormones for my workouts. It's entirely possible that once I stop, things will regress. If so (I'll find out in a couple months), then I think I'm definitely going to look into TRT & accompanying therapies.
I've been feeling so much better since I started them back up... All of my workouts are going well, I'm recovering like I remember doing almost 10 years ago, and I even set a new PR (personal record) on sumo deadlifts (which I only learned how to do this past fall). I managed to pull 275# for a single. It was definitely my max, but it's surprisingly close to my conventional deadlift max of 315#. Usually people are better at one than the other, but I'm curious to see if mine will be comparable eventually, if I keep training both? Does anyone have any recommendations for free video editing software? I'm thinking about maybe posting a workout vid or two, if I can find something to edit them with. The raw videos are tedious, so I want to cut out the extraneous crap in them.
I'm changing my work schedule starting tomorrow morning - getting up at 6:10a, getting to work by 6:45a, heading home at 3:15p. This means I'll be able to stay up until around 9p, when it's actually getting dark out. For the past month or more, I've been trying to go to sleep while it's still light out. I do have blinds for my windows, but they're not blackout curtains, so it still gets through, and my sleep has been poor because of it. I'm hoping this helps with my sleep, but also that I like the time split at work. I'm so used to coming & going when nobody else is, that I think it'll annoy me to have to deal with the crowds at shift change on the production floor. I guess I'll find out tomorrow...
