Can't remember exactly when I started buying things on amaz0n, but I'm now spending entirely too much money on that website! To be fair, it's mostly stuff that I've been needing for years but never got around to shopping for (because I so greatly dislike shopping) - workout wear, socks, household items like an air purifier, a new trash can, etc., and a *lot* of workout equipment. Most of those were things I've been wanting but were always too pricey, but everything I've bought, I've managed to get for anywhere between 25-60% off!
Still, I've been spending more money than I care to - fortunately, not more than I can afford, it just slows down my savings accumulation and/or funding my brokerage account. Still. I think everything I've bought is either something practical for around the house, or something health-related that will benefit me for a long time to come, so it's not all bad.
Also, I finally did my taxes today. I'd been seeing so many articles about how a lot of people should expect a smaller refund this year, but I'm getting several hundred more! I'm having it direct-deposited, but I'm thinking now about whether I should simply hang onto it, or if there's anything that I'd want to buy that would benefit me in the long run. I won't spend it on anything frivolous, but I've had my eye on one final piece of health equipment for my home - a Cold Plunge tub. It's really a beautiful piece of kit, and has a lot of built-ins, like ozone purification, 20 micron filtration, and it's fully insulated, including a cover.
I know I already have one, but it's rather shoddy solution. My current set up is this stock tank, this Aquarium Heater, and this Aquarium Filter, but it only works during the winter and the temperature varies wildly in the fall & spring, based on the outdoor temp. If I wanted to complete this project, I would buy this Hydroponic Water Chiller. With the insulated box I built last fall surrounding it, I think it would maintain 50°F or so throughout the summer, but still, it's kind of ugly and "cheap"-looking, so I can't decide what I want to do...
Now that I'm thinking of that project, I'm realizing just how many other projects I have to do around the house soon. It's really difficult to motivate yourself to do everything when you're the only one doing al of it, you know? Ugh, I don't even want to think about it anymore, so I think I'll stop writing now.
