Ok, 1st things 1st...
I'm still working, which is a good thing for me, but not sure for how long at this point. Confident of work through this week, possibly next, although it might be from home. After that? No idea what's going on. I have an emergency fund, so I can get by, but it's still going to suck financially. I suppose the time off will be nice though...
As I'd already had the money saved up, I dropped off a few accessory pieces to get powder-coated today. Should be done by next week sometime. I wanted to have them done so that when I decide to get the new bike out of storage, they can install everything at that point. Still need to get the fender work done though. Maybe if we actually end up working from home, I'll eventually get to it?
Last month, I started taking a supplement to improve my body composition & help with workouts. Anecdotally, a lot of people seemed to like it, so I took a chance. Within the 1st day or two, I was getting tired & started to lose strength. After about a week, my tendons ached when doing weights I'd previously done - I ended up losing maybe 20% or more of my strength by the time I was done. I think I took it for a total of three weeks (?) because there was actually a couple of benefits. 1) as I was so tired all of the time, I found myself getting to sleep much quicker & sleeping better overall. 2) my body seemed to recover a bit better, and my back felt alright. Like, my whole body felt like it was 'healing'; I was standing straighter, I didn't have my typical little aches everywhere, etc. I was trying to complete the month, but my workouts just got too bad. Switched from strength- to hypertrophy training the 3rd week, but I was so sore for the next 4-5 days after the 1st switch that I couldn't work out again. That's when I dropped it.
I'm spending the next week or so working my capacity back up, then hope to return to normal hypertrophy workouts, no extra supplements for a while. I'm going to try to keep it mellow, because I tend to overdo it & when I do, I get run down & I don't want to risk catching something & not being able to work.
More to update, but it'll have to wait for another day...
