Made it out for a run today. Ok, a 'wog' (walk/jog/repeat). Since I've been doing that W1m H0f breathing method for the last couplefew weeks, I noticed I didn't have much of a breathing issue, just that my legs aren't used to the exertion. Normally, I'd start back with my weight-lifting workouts too, but it seems like the last time I was actually starting to get into decent shape, I was doing more running/biking than lifting. I think I'm going to try, for January at least, to stick with just running & boxing workouts, alternating days. If I can get to the point where I'm comfortable running a mile or two again without feeling like I'm dying, then I'll start back with the weights. I mean, I've only lifted twice in the last six weeks, so what's a little longer going to hurt?
I have to go cook breakfasts/lunches for work this week. 5am is going to come really early & I just know that, even if I get to bed at a reasonable time tonight (8p), I won't be able to sleep. After this much vacation time, melatonin won't even help. I just hope I can remember my password when I get to work tomorrow, or I won't be getting anything done until IT comes in.
