...and, I tweaked my lower back on dead-lifts tonight. Was only my 2nd warmup set, really light weight, but something was out of alignment in my mid-back & threw off my lower. I had to stop immediately & carefully walk back into the house, went upstairs & lay down on the floor to do a bunch of slow stretches. Took me about an hour to work through things, but was still cramping up, so I took 600mg of ibuprofen. Half hour later (with no relief apparent) I remembered I had a few leftover vicoden, so I took half of a small one of those. About an hour later, still hurting (even to sit), so I took another 800mg of ibuprofen. Finally started to feel some moderate relief around 11-11:15p.
Am going to bed now. I bought an infrared massage unit several years back when I had a similar issue, so I'll be using that before going to sleep. Hopefully I'll be able to walk normally by tomorrow. Fortunately, I can tell it's just muscle spasms/guarding, so I know it'll be ok in a day or two, but I'm irritated. I was looking forward to pulling some heavy lifts tonight...
