I'm having "that" back issue again, where it aches so bad and it's hard to breathe, it's almost like a vertebrae is pinching a nerve going to my diaphragm or something. It's been ongoing since Wednesday, and I've not been able to do much beyond sit on the futon or lie on my side on the floor. Been taking ibuprofen several times a day, and a cbd gummy for inflammation, but not helping much. It got so bad that again, I ended up going between running a fever and having chills for most of Thursday/Friday (no other indications of illness/infection, just like last time).
I felt alright enough today to finally get some yard work done that was long overdue. Shortly after my shower though, and while cooking meals for the week, it started up again - been lying on the floor for the last couple hours. It does seem to be helping a bit this time though? Anyway, I'm hoping it's better by morning so I can make it to work, but who knows?
If my dad was having similar pain issues after his aneurysm & surgical repair/rehab, I completely understand why he chose not to remain. Just as I imagine life felt for him, it was miserable enough when my body worked well, but this wouldn't be bearable for any extended length of time.
I'm fortunate, because I know this will resolve eventually & I'll be fine (well, as fine as I was before). I can cope with chronic daily pain, but debilitating pain is another thing entirely.
