As I've mentioned recently, I've been sucking in the workout department, so I made a decision that, unless I'm injured, I'm going to do *something* a minimum of five days a week, hopefully six. It doesn't have to be a lot, but it needs to be something. It's now been two days in a row, and I feel better about it. I'm going to try to fit a conditioning workout in before band practice tonight. After writing an email to a friend about calorie needs & macro breakdowns (percentages of protein/carbs/fat) I've started logging my meals into Fitday again. Unfortunately I didn't bring my lunch today, so I'm going to have to eat out again.
I wish I could find a balance between being happy with my physique, and being upset enough to do something about it. I tend to fall on the side of, "Whatever, I look fine/better than most guys my age..." and it holds me back from being serious enough about weight loss to really strip the fat off. I'm really going to give it a go this time, for at least a couple months - tighten up my diet, do some kind of exercise 5-6 days a week, and very little alcohol. I'd say "no alcohol", but I'm finally getting to the point where people are asking me to come out with "the gang", inviting me to house parties, etc., and I don't want to be awkward/antisocial. I did finally decide, though, that I will be staying with really light beer (think Rolling Rock, MGD 64) and staying away from any and all liquor, as it tends to be my downfall. Also, as any diet plan should, I'm going to allow myself a cheat every so often, where I can eat a few hundred calories more than usual, and have some drinks, like when I'm hanging out with the Joker, for example.
And now, as I'm still in writer's block hell, another off-the-cuff poem...

P.S. I've started having daydreams about the things I want to do to/with the Joker - different scenarios, different locations, and most all of it X-rated. I haven't decided if it's a good thing or not!? Either way, at least it's fun!
